Islamic Education Programme

High educational outcomes in Pakistan have traditionally been the preserve of the wealthy and well-off societies. Though in last decade more serious attempts have been made to redress this, literacy rates between the wealthier urban areas and poor rural based areas are still hugely disparate.

Human Hope has endeavoured to address this imbalance by consistently providing free education to poor rurally-based children.

Education itself is crucial to the broader notion of human development. By providing free education – underpinned with an Islamic ethos – children can become beacons for their communities and help them tackle the challenges they face.

“I and the person who looks after an orphan and provides for him, will be in Paradise like this,’ placing his index and middle fingers together, (Sahih al-Bukhari)

To sponsor a child in Ummah Children Academy for one month is £40. This includes high quality modern & Islamic education, full time boarding, medical treatment, clothing & transport.

Hifz Sponsorship

The Prophet Muhammad SalalAllahu ‘alayhi wasallam emphasised the importance of providing education stating: “The best amongst you is the one who learns the Quran and teaches it,’ (Sahih al-Bukhari).

Human Hope empowers children from poor and broken families with a Qur’anic education. We give them the encouragement and family surroundings to read and understand the Holy Book. Hifz-e-Quran refers to learning the whole Quran by heart.

Human Hope seeks to support the religious tradition of memorisation by sponsoring Hifz students in Pakistan.

It normally takes a child 3-5 years to memorise the entire Qur’an and complete his/her studies. Throughout the sponsorship, donors are updated with regular feedback on the progress of their sponsored child.

Sponsored students are provided with a monthly stipend allowing them to commit full time to this noble endeavour.

Qur’an Distribution

As part of its grassroots work, Ummah Welfare Trust regularly distributes new Qur’ans to schools and madrassahs. This is an important initiative due to the lack of funding these schools receive, as such, Qur’an distributions take place across Pakistan.

Standard Qur’an Distribution £2.50 per copy

Braille Qur’an Distribution

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said:
‘Allah, the Glorious and Exalted said: ‘When I afflict my slave in his two dear things (i.e., his eyes), and he endures patiently, I shall compensate him for them with Jannah.’
[Sahih Al Bukhari]

After Imaan in Allah and His Messenger, SallAllahu ‘alayhi wasallam, arguably the greatest gift bestowed upon man is the gift of sight. Its deprivation is amongst the biggest tests that Allah can afflict his slave with, and for this reason, if endured with patience, blindness is a means of Paradise.

Alhamdulillah, blindness, or any visual impairment, has never prevented one from acquiring the ma’rifah (recognition) of Allah and the knowledge of His religion. Braille Qur’ans today allow visually impaired Muslims across the world to read and study the Book of Allah without hindrance.

A Braille Qur’an, which can be printed in just one day, consists of 15 parts (books).

There should not be one visually impaired student who is denied access to the Book of Allah. Human Hope wants to distribute Braille Qur’ans freely across Pakistan and needs your help in doing so.

For just £45 you can have one Braille Qur’an (with I’raab) printed.
For £65 a Braille Qur’an with an added English or Urdu translation can be printed.
